The truth is that almost no therapist will tell you that online therapy is just as good as being in the room and can be just as effective as in-person sessions.
Online sessions, allowing you to get the therapy you need without having to leave your home or office - your therapy might be your lunch break.
This makes it easier to fit sessions into your busy schedule. This is also great if you're tired of dealing with traffic or want to save time on travelling.
You can choose to see me solely though online sessions, or it can be used occasionally as a convenient option in addition to your in-person sessions when you're travelling or have an extra busy week.
Many people meet with me once per week.
In some circumstances, I meet with people twice or three times per week. We will talk about what frequency works best for your specific circumstances, however it is important to understand that meeting weekly, at minimum, is a vital part of successful progress. The consistency of a weekly session contributes to the development of a therapeutic relationship that is secure, and fosters the feeling of safety and trust that will allow us to work on a deeper, more effective level.
All sessions are conducted online via the device of your choice (computer, tablet, phone, etc), you never have to worry about arranging transportation or juggling scheduling responsibilities that take you all over town.
All communication conducted between you and your therapist, as well as through the online therapy platform, is absolutely confidential. Additionally, online services do not require that you use your real name, which allows for total anonymity.
If you are worried about the privacy of your online sessions, it’s generally a good idea to arrange your sessions at a time when you will be free of distractions or potential interference, in a place you feel most talk to a therapist online
